We continue our five-part series with the second entry, the BS8 Purple Attribute Guide. Purple gains new and powerful tools in BS8, continuing its shenanigans with the Trash Area. This guide is part of our full breakdown of every Cookie style-of-play color in the Land of Fire & Ruin, Realm of Apathy expansion.

The BS8 set introduces impressive Purple cards, including bs8-1032-dark-cacao-cookie, which becomes even stronger when Awakened with its bs8-1041-dark-cacao-cookie card. This card alone enables purple players to refill their hands, deal massive damage in the battles, and add an extra +2HP to bs8-1032-dark-cacao-cookie. Let’s dive into the guide!

Flagship Cards

The Purple Attribute in this expansion focuses on powering up Dark Cacao Cookie through a unique Trash Area management strategy. The deck becomes powerful when you play bs8-1032-dark-cacao-cookie from the trash because this action allows you to Awaken it. An Awakened Dark Cacao gains higher HP and stronger damage. It won't be easy for your opponent to deal with a Level-3 Cookie with 6HP immediately.

bs8-119-crunchy-chip-cookie and bs8-120-caramel-arrow-cookie play important support roles in this plan. Their skills make it easy to return Dark Cacao Cookie from the trash. These cards synergies allows you to activate Awakening consistently in your games.

After Awakening Dark Cacao, you can equip bs3-115-soul-jam-light-of-resolution to push its power even further. I've included a simple deck list in the next section that showcases new BS8 cards in it.

Decklist Example

This deck does not rely solely on bs8-1032-dark-cacao-cookie to secure victory. It also draws power from bs4-089-moonlight-cookie and bs2-058-wind-archer-cookie, creating a balanced and stable game plan. The list uses st5-020-forbidden-grimoire and bs2-080-abandoned-cloud-nest to keep bs8-1041-dark-cacao-cookie on the field longer. These support cards help maintain pressure and extend your board presence throughout the match.
